School Hours: 7:00AM - 2:30PM

Arrival:
Effective immediately, everyone (students, parents, visitors) will enter the building through the main entrance beginning at 7:00AM. Parents, please ensure that you stop by the front desk to sign in and receive a visitors pass. 

Dismissal:
Student dismissal (car riders/walkers, nursery vans, school buses) begins at 2:15PM.  Please contact HR teachers via written communication if a student's afternoon dismissal changes.  

Instructional Hours: 7:45AM - 2:15PM
It is the expectation that all students are seated in class and prepared for the day by 7:45AM each school day.  

Intervention Block:
School-wide intervention is from 8:30 - 9:00. Please ensure that your child arrives to school on time.  

Late/Tardy:
Students arriving at/after 7:45AM are tardy. Parents/Guardians, please report to the main entrance and sign students in.

Early Dismissal:
The cut-off from releasing students early is 1:45PM. Please utilize early dismissal for emergencies only, as the instructional day does not end until 2:15PM. Have your ID readily available and please do not park in the bus lane.  

Breakfast/Lunch – Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 am - 7:40 am. Students have the option to bring lunch from home or eat the school lunch. Breakfast and lunch are free for all students, and outside lunch, such as fast food is not permitted.

Attention all 4th & 5th Grade Boys AND Girls!!

We are excited to announce that registration for DCSD Elementary Flag Football is now open! The Flag Football season will run from March 31st to May 17th. Uniforms will be provided for all teams! If you are interested in joining the team, please complete the registration by clicking this link: https://www.dcsdea.org
Sports Physical Required! No experience needed! Please note: Girls and Boys will play on separate teams. We are looking forward to an exciting season!

Parent Tech Cafe

Parents and caregivers are invited to come and learn about online tools available to support your child. On March 25th, the district will focus on Navigating Clever/Launchpad. The goal of the event is to empower parents and students by promoting awareness and facilitating the integration of digital tools that are a part of the DeKalb County School District's ecosystem. Mission & Vision

The vision of the DeKalb County School District is to inspire our community of learners to achieve educational excellence. Our mission is to ensure student success, leading to higher education, work, and life-long learning. We are making this vision and mission a reality – every day, in every classroom throughout the District.

Through community forums, focus groups, listening sessions, and more, we have engaged our stakeholders, refined our objectives, honed our procedures, and formulated a robust, highly-structured yet agile and adaptive strategic plan. We are pleased with the progress we have made thus far, and excited about the future – of our District, our community, and, most importantly, the 100,000+ students who daily bring to us their limitless potential.

The District has created performance measures, targets, and initiatives to ensure success in each goal area. A monitoring and data collection process has been developed, and rigorous progress check procedures have been implemented. At the local level, on-going training sessions are offered to all principals in order to support the work of aligning, refining, monitoring, and evaluating the continuous improvement efforts of each individual school.

As a community of learners, we are committed to excellence in everything we do – within the classroom and throughout the District. This continuous improvement process permeates each aspect of our Strategic Plan, and we are honored to partner with you to make it a reality for all.
